This show had some wild moments, but I think it ultimately fell a bit flat for me. The main hook was certainly interesting, but it felt really rushed in some spots, particularly near the end. That said, I think it managed to finish up with a nice, albeit messy, ending. I don’t think I would want to watch more, but I do appreciate them trying something different for this anime original story. I ultimately think I preferred ZENSHU for my “surprise isekai” anime, and not just because of the quality that MAPPA brings. All in all, a decent seasonal, but I don’t think I will come back to it.
Yeah I hear what you are saying. I tended to like it, as someone who likes time travel, world travel stories, but yeah I do think Zenshu was certainly stronger. There were certainly unanswered questions at the end, but at least it kept my interest.
