Kind of have mixed feelings on this. There’s an absolutely massive plot twist that, knowing in advance, lets me enjoy the (very) subtle clues. Not knowing about the twist makes it come off as random isekai slop though.
Is it another isekai bait and switch?
This is super-mega spoilers, so if you have any intention of reading/watching it then don’t look:
Title
The guy that got isekaied doesn’t actually exist. “He” was a fake personality implanted into the Last Boss to try and reign her in by the goddess, who is disguising herself as the Last Boss’s advisor. Which is why the assistant looks so uneasy when the Last Boss wipes out the orks in episode 1: because even with the fake personality and memories throwing her off, the Last Boss still has her instincts.
Thanks for sharing.

Uh, sure. That was a premise.
Oh, this made me check the manga series. Fun stuff. And I think I know exactly what you’re talking about.
As I mentioned in another thread I watched the first episode and it was okay. If it turns out boring later on I’ll drop it, but so far I’m following it.
Apparently the memories of the player and character are getting merged together? Lufas mentions adventuring is nostalgic, but then gets surprised with it.
I hadn’t thought I was going to watch anything this fall season, and then I saw this was airing and… I still wasn’t sure I was going to watch anything, but then I watched the PV for this and, holy heck the animation quality is off the charts; and after watching the first episode, holy heck the animation quality is off the charts. This might be worth it just for the fight scenes alone.
