Assault rifles, pump guns and other long weapons are perfect for children, since they cannot point it at themselves and pull the trigger at the same time. Also to further enhance the safety of your child, just be sure to give them soft point ammo, since it would shatter on impact with any harder wall and avoid ricochet.
