Kill the app causing it. Turn off the notifications. If all else fails, then you’re left with the dark side of jail breaking and using a custom ROM.

    Some great Ad blocking options:

    1. Root+AdAway
    2. Use ad blocking DNS
    3. Use a VPN with ad blocking

Sucks we live in a world where you have to actively block ads on a phone you paid for with Internet you also pay for, but any one of those options will greatly improve your phone experience.

It also does help to check the app if it uses ads and it’s not crippled. Unfortunately most people tend to just jump in because the app looks shiny or because their favorite celebrity uses it.

I use adguard which blocks ads in all apps but every now and then it gets turned off without me noticing, like once every two weeks, so when I play a game or something and and ad pops up it really feels like this. I never see ads anywhere on my phone or computer so it’s like seeing a monster who got past my defences.
