Yeah, what have I stumbled upon here? Suddenly we’re not supposed to believe in UFOs/ UAPs anymore? I thought pretty much everybody accepted the high likelihood that we are not alone in the universe because the universe is so vast. And even in recent years such govt info has started to become unclassified. Reputable military officers & pilots have testified in depositions recounting every detail of UAPs they’ve encountered while on duty.

Now suddenly this Lemmy post is gaslighting us back into “aw they’ve always been government drones” mindset??

It’s been stigmatized for so long and so effectively that it’s the default reaction. Look up any news story or article from 10 years or longer about the subject and you will be met with laughter and gaslighting, do it with recent news articles and you’ll see a massive change of tone.

We’re on the verge of finding something out. Whether that be the most prosaic possible thing: A psy-op so expansive that it will cause society to crumble, or non human intelligence. Either way, it’s the most interesting story of all time in my opinion and it doesn’t make any sense why more people aren’t trying to find out everything there is to know. We could be talking about a technology that would force us into an actual post scarcity world.
