Why is it bad? Like what should I use instead on my website for images and icons?

It’s very flexible and supports everything:

• transparency
• video
• lossless It’s lighter weight than other file formats.

The only downside is that it’s not supported by a lot of apps and websites (e.g. Instagram)

I just converted all the images on my website to webp for faster load time. Very happy with it.
