      Really? Swedish government:

[G]rants may be paid in the amount of SEK 350,000 for those who have reached the age of 18 and SEK 25,000 for those who have not reached the age of 18, but not more than SEK 500,000 for spouses or cohabitants and not more than SEK 600,000 per family

      https://www.regeringen.se/pressmeddelanden/2025/04/ett-kraftigt-hojt-atervandringsbidrag/

So that is a litte less that 35,000 USD (after this proposed increase). This is liberal politics in Sweden.

Also to note, the first statement from the minister there in that link, Johan Forssell, his son is active club neonazi. He is still in the party and a Swedish minister. That, and how his party is collaborating with a full party of “ex” neonazis, is how far separated our governments are from nazis in Europe.

Depends what we mean by real. Kristi Noem is doing television commercials for this.

Do they really give you the $1000 and a free flight? I don’t know if that’s real. The free flight might take you somewhere you were not intending to go.

I was just in LAX the other day and saw one of these signs in the security line. I can confirm with my own eyes that the sign is real.

Honestly, knowing the administration is hiring ICE agents at 100k+ starting salaries (for context, you generally have to be pretty late in a professional career with a multi-page resume to be approaching such salaries) arresting, detaining and forcibly deporting on chartered deportation flights is a heck of a lot more expensive and takes a lot longer than just handing families a couple grand plus $500 in plane tickets to get out. I suspect they’re quietly doing this to bolster deportation numbers since forcibly deporting takes a ton of manpower and therefore is quite a bottleneck for meeting the deportation targets Trump has stated
